Lighten Your Carbon Footprint
Lighten Your Footprint was a transformative community project, conceived and led by Jo that brought a vibrant change to footpaths across Macedon Ranges Shire. Hand-drawn footprint artworks were made by local residents (between the ages of 6 and 76) at workshops, then printed on eco-friendly sticker material and adhered to footpaths, inspiring residents and visitors to consider their environmental impact. Through these colorful artworks, community members showcased everyday actions and tips to lighten our "carbon footprint" both locally and globally. Launched on World Environment Day, this project fostered art for social change, encouraging eco-conscious practices. These educational artworks adorned public spaces in front of the Gisborne Aquatic Centre, Romsey Library, Woodend Library, Kyneton Town Hall and Lancefield Mechanics Institute.
Commissioned by the Macedon Ranges Shire Council for The Covid Creative Cultural Support Program.
