Fungivorous
Sculpture.
The bright colours of Fungiverous are drawn from actual mushrooms types, which are often in dazzling contrast to the surrounding muted tones of the bush or forest. The symbiotic relationship between trees and fungi informs the materiality of Fungiverous; a de-formalising approach of classical woodturning called “off-centre turning” gives an organic look to the sculptural forms.
