Everlasting

Site-responsive Art, Land Art, Environmental Art.

This work composed the word Neverlasting planted out as text across the grassy embankment on the Lorne foreshore.  The plant species selected are the native Xerochrysum bracteatum, commonly called  Everlasting Daisy, known for their dry, papery quality and ability preserve well whilst maintaining colour. This artwork is a both a playful twist on how we employ language and a deeper critique on the politics of how we shape the landscape.
