Transplantation

Site-responsive Art, Land Art.

Relaying the idea of continuum that recycling embodies, Transplantation was made by employing plants “thinned” from one of the artist’s previous artworks, Australia Re-generated, planted in the configuration of an infinity sign. Engaging the infinity symbol as a universal form and concept that refers to expansion, boundlessness and renewal and composed of a range of indigenous, native and non-invasive exotic species, this work inferred the cyclic rhythms of the natural world and the intention of sustainability.
