Mapped

Sculpture, Installation Art.

A series of world globes depicting the continents of planet Earth marked out with individually hand-coloured map pins. Every globe proposes a different scenario with continents off axis, inside out, upside down, and out of place. Historically used to map campaigns and mark territories, the mass-produced plastic map pins signify intention, disputed ownership, and the impacts of consumerism. Globalisation and its effects on our planet come into relief in these works.

This installation featured as part of the Climarte Festival.
