Another Turn

Relief Sculpture.

Another Turn is the third body of work in a series of router drawings that reflect on the inextricable relationship of nature and culture. The biological activity of insects informed the process of these abstract works - the rich velvetty surface of veneered ply panels are hand carved using a router power tool, reavealing layers of raw timber. Classical design profiles subtly shape these works, with formal linework breaking down into organic spots, scribbles and snaking lines sprawling over and into the panels.
